About the Authors
Behind the heart of this website are two fisherman and the authors Willem and Andre.
After some consideration, the idea of having a blog for reporting on fishing trips we have completed came alive.
We believe that one of the aspects that makes this site worthwhile visiting is the fact that the site’s content are created not by content writers of profession but rather by two aspiring fisherman who would like to share with you their journey around the South African fish waters.
By reporting back on our fishing adventures we hope to inform and inspire others who share our common interest namely fishing. We always try to be as specific as possible about weather conditions, the bait we used, the fishing spot and the amount and size of the fish we caught.
More about Andre
Fishing started as a just-for-fun activity for me and it probably still is. I fish as frequently as possible and believe it should be something that is enjoyed. The last two or three trips however I decided to take fishing a bit more serious.

More about Willem:
Although I’ve been fishing the fresh waters for some time now, I still consider myself a novice angler, using every source I can find to help me improve on my skills and techniques. For me, a day in the open at the dam is enough reason to fish, but returning from a fishing trip with something to show for it (the photo’s of course) can turn a great day to a simply awesome fishing trip!
