Will & Dre

In 2010 we drove through Brits and decided to have a look at a few of the dams in the area.The Vaalkop dam nature reserve have been closed to the public for a few years and it would be interesting to see what the fishing is like these days. Unfortunately they were fully booked for the weekend and I had to be satisfied with walking around taking photos and talking to some of the campers.

Electricity ,proper ablution facilities and the fishing restrictions during the last three years is a recipe for the perfect fishing trip and we would definately visit this reserve in future. In our next post we will have a look at Dennekruin, yet another fishing venue in the Brits area.
