there ablusion is ok. there is 2 toilets, 2 showers and a bath for the small once. id rather have ok toilets, afordable camping and sleep safe than having smart toilets, expensive camping and get robbed. that my opinion.

Hi there, I have tried out some new products from Mr. Muti. On the bomb I used “Monkey Joe Green” a nice thick bomb syrup, hook bait was has been tiger nut and TCP floaties. Later on I have tried Mr Muti’s “Monster and Strawlick” with excellent results. You will notice it is all strong and spicy flavours the sweet was not working at all that weekend.
Awie- as you can see I am not really biuld for a canoe, I belong to the halfmoon pap gooiers club, I was fishing at about 80-100mt in. I can estimate my distance fairly good as I have 100mt 15pound braid as leaders with double X hi-visibility main line, time and again I cast my braid out and the yellow line is visible then I know I have 100mt in the water.
I have heard that Emanzini is safe but no good ablusion facilities?

Voelvlei is about the same size as Hartbeespoort Dam and situated just off the R44 between Tulbagh and Hermon only an hour from Cape Town (100km north on the R44). Entry is a little complicated, Just before the dam wall on the left is water affais. You can go through there and if you can find anybody there, they will let you in.

Alternatively contact URS at WAPLAS (the Voelvlei based fishing club) and for a small fee you can “rent” a key,
which will let you in through the main gate which is just passed the dam wall.

Or, if you drop me a mail at boats@osvw.com, I can give you a yell next time I go camping, and you can tag along, I am a member of the club and go there regularly.

Hi there. have you guys tried Emanzini. its just before roodekopies oewer. The owner does his own security and goes out of his way to make the place save. There is also nice fish where the dam turns into the sloep. The one guy caught a 3kg bass there. Just a sugestion. owner is Hansie 0837554440.

Hi there, we where there the Easter week-end, we had a very pleasant stay, however only one fish was caught and we were 12 people. we tried all the sweet floats, banana, caramel, and many more.

What did you use to catch the beautiful fish, and did you row in, or just cast from the side?
