Rietvlei Rig
The Rietvlei rig is probably one of the most commonly used rigs in South Africa. It is an excellent rig for catching carp, yellow fish and even mudfish (muddies). It is however not recommended to fish with this type of rig in a dam with alot of structure.

You will need the following components in order to build this rig:
1. A Lead weight
2. Two swivels
3. A spring (Not mandatory)

In a variance of this rig the top hooklink and/or spring can be removed.
